Drive-E T8 BatteryTwin Engine Technology:

A 2.0 liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine, along with a second engine being a rear-mounted 60-kilowatt or 82-horsepower electric motor,  powered by a 9.2-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery make up the twin engine technology. Volvo anticipates that the vehicle will go from 0-62mph in under 6 seconds and that the electric range will be around 17 miles. Testing has not yet been conducted in the United States.

The T8 model will be all-wheel drive, but other models will come in front-wheel drive, with optional all-wheel drive.



S90 T5 AWD:

The S90 is introducing new world firsts in safety.

  • Run-off Road Mitigation
    • This program operates at higher speeds. If the driver is straying over lane markings close to the road edge and the vehicle calculates an imminent road departure, then the car will fix itself.
  • Large Animal Detection
    • This radar/camera unit detects large animals standing in the road. The vehicle will warn the driver of the large animal and if the driver does not respond to the warning, then the brakes will automatically be applied.
