Both Volvo and Mercedes-Benz are two of the most prominent manufacturers of luxury vehicles in the world, so it goes without saying that both of these models are comfortable and feature-rich. That said, there are things about Volvo's compact luxury SUV that put it over the top, and we think that drivers from Plymouth and beyond will be happier with the XC60. Here are some of our reasons:

·      The first thing you're likely to notice when comparing these two vehicles is the price. The 2014 Volvo XC60 3.2 has a base MSRP of $34,850, which is $2,630 less than the base MSRP of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLK350, which starts at $37,480.

·      Part of the appeal of SUVs is their versatile interior, and you'll find greater maximum cargo volume in the XC60 than in the GLK350: 67.4 cubic feet vs. 54.7 cubic feet.

·      Safety is arguably the most important factor in purchasing a vehicle, and it's always been a hallmark of Volvo vehicles. To that end, it should be unsurprising that the 2014 XC60 comes standard with City Safety - at low speeds, this system is able to detect obstacles and automatically apply the vehicle's brakes in order to avoid or mitigate a collision.
