Special Edition Inscription Leaves a Good Impression for Volvo C70

With Volvo scheduled to shut down its production arm in Uddevalla come 2013, it's looking like the Volvo C70 will be out of a home. Sad yet understandable considering the hard-top convertible will have given its fans a successful sixteen-year run. What's more, the luxury automaker has chosen to close out the model with the release of a special-edition C70 Inscription.

Limited to 2,000 units per year, the Inscription embodies signature Volvo style cues blended with distinctive exterior design. A Painted grille and black 18-inch wheels combined with a Black Stone, Black Sapphire or Ice White coating to give a sharp first impression. Sliding into the C70 variant's interior, convertible connoisseurs will discover Sovereign Hide upholstery, a leather-covered dash and "Inscription" logos stitched in to the front headrests.

In most areas, C70 Inscription drivers will hum along to the tune of a turbocharged, five-cylinder T5. However, our British friends and fellow Volvo lovers will have an additional option of the two five-cylinder D4 and D3 turbodiesels presented to them as well.
